A Dance with Cloaks and Daggers

**From the minds of two role-players' and their original characters

~A woman, longing for the freedom to choose her own future, meets a man who runs from his past.~

Mercedes Rainer, a loud-mouthed and boyish woman, finds herself once again getting herself beat up because of her putting her nose where it shouldn't be. Expecting just to accept the beating as usual, she is more than a little shocked when a hooded man come to her rescue. Being stubborn as well as being taught to never owe anyone anything, she demands for him to name his price. The assassin, which she doesn't figure out until later, refuses and simply states that he just felt like helping her.

Matthew McGregor, an impulsive and short-tempered assassin, finds himself using some goons as target practice. Though in doing so, earns him the debt of a woman who clearly didn't know when to stop talking. He didn't want her money though she had plenty of it despite not looking the part all covered in dirt and soon bruises. Try as he might, it would seem misfortune would allow this woman to find him wherever he went. This woman reminded him of his apprentice days when he was just a loud mouth kid who questioned and annoyed his mentor endlessly.

Soon the two become master and apprentice though it won't become long til they become something more.
