John is right where Arlo wanted him, at the top of the Hierarchy, with the title of the Ace that's rightfully his, right above his head like a halo. His ability is stronger than his, and Seraphina's lost her own ability, therefore making him the Ace. When he observed and was around John more (against his will) he realized truely how corrupted he really was. It was far worse than a hot temper, and Arlo has made a grave mistake in letting John dominate the school. He's simply was too consumed by his ability to consider the people around him and manage a school with a reputation like Wellston. Unfit for an ace. He needed to make up for his mistake, he knew he needed to stop John, instead of leading the school, he's been destroying it ever since he's proved his worth, but he also knew that normal methods wouldn't work. John is special in every way, negatively or positively, and so, he needed accommodations. He needed to fight special with special. John's right where Arlo wanted him. Pinned under the King with a hint of annoyance and embarrassment, no matter how much Arlo might tease him, he'll never acknowledge the submission to Arlo, it was simply too horrendous and shameful. "Are you saying that because you want more? If you do, come meet me at my dorm. I'm sure we can work something out. "I'm not going-" "We'll have to wait and see." Arlo is meticulous. But amongst his special method to cease his violent and impulsive nature, Arlo finds his plan falling apart in his hands when he's also caught feelings for John. It was a mistake, just like how various other mistakes were also made in the past. But this time, it was different. It was a mistake he couldn't control. John had sacrificed everything to be able to stand on that podium above the people who used to bite and chase him - to have people bow down at his feet and willingly do his every bidding. He had to sacrifice his sanity, his life, and his soulmate, only to become further lost among the crowd where he had always stood alone... except when he had her. The hole he dug is deep; the only way out being up; but his broken shovel isn't able to carry out the dreaded task of fixing his mistakes when the pile of dirt has always sat out of his reach. So he's gone now. John left with the wind and into the murky depths of Wellston's fastest river - famed for the ending of lonely souls. Into the white water he fell; into the stone and the grime and the fish. In he went... and out came Alden. .................................................................... 1500+ word chapters [Suicide warning] [Mature language] 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚏𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚎: 𝟷𝟹/𝟶𝟼/𝟸𝟶 - A little bit of plot, inspired by: @RainielCatapang7's 'The Death of Joker' (It's really good and if you want to find it easily, it's in my reading list) -- #1 on Jeraphina!! --
