Alice's struggle

15 year old Alice is checked into a mental hospital after being diagnosed with schizophrenia. She would talk about "the hatter". Some days he was her friend, other days Alice would say he wanted her dead, which may explain the cuts on her. Can a fellow patient make her see that it's not real even while dealing with his own struggle?
