When they are admitted to the Academy, revolution seems eminent.  Whispers echo in the Academy halls.  While the majority of the student body tries to stay out of their way, a few students challenge the New Ones in dares that grow increasingly more dangerous.  Only the Administration seems to know who they are and where they came from, and they are determined to keep the balance of power out of the hands of the new arrivals.  By whatever means possible.

When Lyra meets Adam, she is drawn to him despite her better judgment. A blank doll with acting and action running in her veins, Freia woke up in a hospital with no memory of what brought her there. Sure, the doctors said a car crash delivered her there, but it didn't feel like it. They said her family's dead but how come Freia didn't feel like that was true? Her very first visitors were her adoptive parents, Fabio and Darlene Hunter. She had four friends that stuck with her ever since she could remember, literally. That is until one who was dear to her was killed, in front of her. Of course, she was devastated. Why would that be a question? I gotta say, why would you believe something that was written and altered by humans from outside? Would you even put your trust on the person who doesn't let you out unless he wants you to?
