That's not to say that handicapped kids aren't regular kids, no, the irregular part comes when he gets taken to an alien planet in the future and gets superpowers. Ya see, after Tyrus' accident he goes from basketball star to video game star and his best game is First Strike! But when First Strike turns out to not be the innocent video game it appears to be, that's where things get interesting.

The Boy Who Wasn't Real
After three epidemics, fifteen wars and plenty of government disagreements, the world stopped numbering their years. The last recorded one was 2104. During that year, all hell broke loose. Broken Boundaries
A while ago the question of what if an alien is so cute, a straight guy can't help but still fall in love depite the alien being male, came to me. And of course, the idea for a new story was born soon thereafter. This is the result, my latest novel set in the science fiction Aoyu Universe as of this writing, and the first (and at this time only) gay/bisexual romance themed story that I've written. --- During the Earth-Silth conflicts, two commanders of opposing warships played a game of chicken at one of the outer known solar systems, the result being a head-on collision and two ships fused together at the bows. After the cease fire agreement plans were made to salvage what they could from the ships and Alain from Earth was sent as part of a two man crew to recover components from the Earth vessel while a team from the Silth would handle theirs.
