It's been six months since since I lost the ability to hear in both of my ears. It's come to the point to where I'm familiar with the loss. Dare I say it but I might just be okay. That was until I realized that everything around me has begun crashing down. And everyone just wants it to fall on deaf ears. My deaf ears.

Lately Kala Kikite Kameela has spent most of the past year avoiding pesky reporters seeking closure, overly compassionate strangers, and hospital visits. All she wants to do is to continue working hard, possibly go to an Ivy League college as a 17 year old, and most of all continue a normal life much like the one she had before.
That all goes out the window when it's realized that her family isn't ok, one of her friends death wasn't an accident, the other friend runs away, a troublesome ex
