Adventures of Jessa
An infant is found to be the only survivor of a human village just outside of the elven forest. The elves come to investigate not wanting the dead bodies to cause problems. They find the infant with her dead mother surrounded by dead invaders. There is no identity, no way to find relatives, and no way of even knowing if the father of the baby survived elsewhere. The elves try to find a human home for the infant and fail. The general of the elven army and his wife the high priestess of their goddess take the child in and teach her of the ways of the elves. Yet all good things must come to an end, at eighteen years of age, far younger than the elven youth trained by the girl's adoptive father she is told that there is no more that they can teach her and she must now leave and make her way in the human world. Now she must embark on living in the human world that she never knew leaving behind the only life, the only people she's ever known. Just what is Jessa going to do now and how is she going to fit into this world, when she never fit into the world she's leaving behind?Complete
Escape from Whitestone Hold
When tensions flare into an-all out rebellion, Sapphira's hometown is turned into a city-wide warzone. The Magistrate are ruthless in restoring order within the blood-soaked walls, catching civilians in the crossfire. Hope is scarce. What more is there to do but flee with what survivors remain? This is a spinoff backstory for a D&D campaign based in the world from "Paladins: Champions of the Realm." Plenty of intellectual rights shenanigans here that I'm not smart enough to address, but it's all in fun. When writing I kept the theme from D&D world of "letting the characters choose wrong/useless paths to explore" as an unnecessary rule imposed on myself, which took more effort than I expected due to sidetracks, but I still enjoy the story that resulted. Nearly twenty years ago in the year 20XX, a mysterious capsule landed on Earth from outer space. As soon as it landed, it released a gas that polluted the entire world. This gas changed the normal human biology of more than 90% percent of the human population, giving them mutations that granted everyone supernatural abilities. The government started an Organization of normal humans, and even some mutants, to capture, detain, and imprison rouge mutants who recklessly use their powers for whatever they want. So, what would happen if two best friends fell in love with a mutant they're supposed to capture?

The world flooded, and only small peaks now rise above the water, with civilization confined to waterborne cities with limited resources. The cities are ruled by tyrannous bosses, enforcing their will with an army of thugs and Stoneweavers, those able to use the remnants of magic from the old times. Resources are maintained by regular Cleansing of the populace, selling the poorest into slavery as miners. With a Cleansing due, what danger are an escaped slave and a thief to this delicate society? As an experiment, I'm publishing the first draft chapters from this heroic fantasy on a daily basis, while still writing it. I'm about halfway through but at the current rate should be able to keep up the pace until it's finished (admittedly, many of the chapters are fairly short). It's also an exercise in discovery writing, as I'm working from a very loose outline on this one, but I have a fairly good idea of the ending by this point. The chapters may get updated to fix typos, or if elements need changing due to future chapters, but otherwise the final version should be made available as an ebook.Complete
