The Sidekick No More

SIT DOWN. Close your eyes..( Well don't just do it after you read this) and find.... that person in your class, sorority, friends, enemies or whoever you'd rather hang out with. The one who doesn't seem to belong anywhere, maybe he has friends but not really. Someone who is nice and attractive and good at everything but not as noticeable as any of the others. This story is about that person except it isn't a he.... It's a she.

" Come with me we'll go to your favorite place today" said Becky. But little did she realise that wasn't Rae's favourite place.. It was hers. " I can't come I'm sick" said Rae and threw her phone across the room eyes filled with tears. Because deep down inside she had always known she was the sidekick and that this was meant to happen always except now she planned to embrace it. She wasn't meant to be a follower, every bone in her body and every cell in her brain pushed her to go free off of this friendship but she loved Becky. She was her best friend no matter what. But now she was gonna be a queen too.
