Teddy never thought much of the girl who sat two benches away from him. Sometimes she sat with friends, and sometimes she sat with homework she had to hand in next period. She would talk to Teddy and his friends sometimes, laughing along with their jokes and shaking her head, amused. Then one Thursday, she sat down two benches away from Teddy, and didn't say a word at all. Something had changed, and Teddy needed to find out what.
