A pair of siblings.
One male, one female. One aggressive and stubborn, the other soft-hearted and gentle.
Somehow, they got along well despite the differences in personalities.
He was her everything. Her friend, her playmate.
Her brother.
She was his best friend, listening quietly to all his words. The one person that cheered him up with the bright smile.
His little sister.

Yet as one received a powerful quirk and was praised for it, the other was shunned for being quirkless. One slowly became more and more prideful, and the other slipped further away. One forgot his promise, and the other was bullied until one final nudge was all it took.
The string snapped.
The perfect circle had cracked in half. The siblings went down different paths.
One was determined to be a Hero, for the other, for their dream. The other pursued the path of a Demon Slayer, working to protect in the dead of night.
When they finally meet again, both recognized each other. He wanted to apologize, but she was no longer the same.
The siblings had became strangers. Mere acquaintances.
