The pride in your eyes
Cannot be denied
As you walk into the room
Every eye sets on you
Except for one
And that just ruins your fun
You turn to me with a glare
Without seeing, I know your stare
I look up, a smile on my face
Knowing I've brought down your grace
Your glare turns to a scowl
My smile turns to a smirk
The people all stare
Wondering what's happening there
Our expressions start to fade
As our memories begin to trace
Our gazes get locked
Like a key and it's lock
A million conversations occur without a word being spoken
Because we know if we confess once again we'll both be broken
We both look away
Knowing ignoring each other is the right way
Our wish is the same
To just end this ditching game
For every wish to come true
One must struggle
One must strive
One has much to do
But at that moment in Time
We both do nothing
Neither you, nor I
We've both given up
Hoping one day
A miracle will come by
And take our past back with a fly
We both continue to play
Our favourite game, until then
Both knowing
This wasn't how it was supposed to end

Getting dressed I grabbed the hodni (scarf) as a mere source to cover my shame, he pulled me out of the room. With the pain all over my body especially the lower body, I wasn't able to walk; matching his speed was out of the question. I pleaded with him to stop, to have mercy on me but just like last night, my words were sent to deaf ears. Not able to match his pace, my steps were misplaced making me fall but it didn't stop him. He dragged me down the stairs in the same state injuring my entire body. I cried helplessly but none of his family members had even a hint of guilt. Everyone's eyes hold only one emotion for me which is disgust. Sitting on a knee he grabbed my hair in a painful grip and the words that came out of his mouth were something which I never expected. "The biggest mistake I've made in my life is, loving you." He said while tears flowed from his eyes. ••• Malika Adsule, a Clinical Researcher, is a quiet girl but for her close people, she is everything but quiet. Choosing YOU

53 parts Complete

He was abandoned before he learned how to love - and she was thrown into his life by fate. Everyone thought they were just another arranged couple fumbling through married life. What no one saw were the storms behind closed doors. He didn't talk much - not about the family that left him,or the pain he never gave a name to. He carried his wounds like shadows, quietly, stubbornly. Until the day he broke - and told her the truth. A child born without warmth of a mother. Left behind like a secret. Raised without love. She tried to fix it - she really did. But healing doesn't always come from the ones who hurt us. So instead, she offered him something else: Her hand. Her heart. Her vow to stay. This isn't a story about saving someone. It's about standing with them when no one else will. And loving them until they finally start to believe they're worthy of it.
