The Story Behind the Slipper
We all know the classic story of a girl who lost her glass slipper running away from her dreams, and racing back to her sad reality of being a peasant maid for her own step-mother and step-sisters, the only family she has left. Yes, this is a story based on none other than the character of Cinderella. However...this rendition of telling the tale is quite different. This quick-read is all written in the form of haikus; a form of poetry that is written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. In this story, you learn about the lives these characters really lived behind the scenes of the happily ever after that we all know to be. You'll discover rich amounts of character development from minor characters and learn major mic-drops about the major characters. I hope you enjoy reading and visualizing the lives of various characters and what they may have been thinking throughout this story! This is a series of poems about a woman i was once in love with long ago. Everything was sweet like strawberries at first, but deep down she was just using me as a rebound to get over a broken heart she has. We met in a speech class one semester, I couldn't talk to her, I shyly had someone else to talk to her. long story short, I should have got to know her like should, because she judged me for what had and didn't have. i loved her so much that I knew that she was cheating on me and wanted her to stay, but God removed her out of my life. she done so much wrong to me, but love her even of all her flaws. This is part one of the collections of me expressing my love to her.Complete

She broke his heart. She left him when he needed her the most. She was the most precious thing he'd ever had but to her he was just someone she passed time with. He swore off love and waited until the day she'd be at his mercy, then he'd make her pay for leaving him. She didn't want to leave him but she had no choice. He was her life Without him, she saw no happy ending. She made a choice that will forever haunt her but it was to save him. She prayed they never cross paths again, but fate will have it differently. Four years later and she has to answer to him as her boss. Four years later he meets the woman who mercilessly broke his heart. She's no longer the bubbly young girl he once knew. And he's no longer the sweet Angel she once loved. She was broken and He was a monster.Complete
