Long ago, there were seven moons -- personified by the seven moon deities. The siblings were full of beauty and grace, and both humans and gods were enchanted by their beauty.

Youngest of the siblings was Bulan. He was playful and curious. One night, he heard the god of death, Sidapa, mutter something about the moons that angered Bulan. This started a petty war between the two. Although if Bulan was being honest, he enjoyed this connection - however unconventional - he had with the other deity.

*

Sidapa has settled into a routine. Every night, he'd watch the skies and wait for the youngest moon deity - to exchange snarks and pranks. It was foolish, but it made his existence more interesting. But then a vicious dragon from the underworld, Bakunawa, started attacking the moons... and Sidapa only had one thing in mind: save the seventh moon, Bulan.

DISCLAIMER: This is a fanfiction LOOSELY based on various Visayan (and some Bicolano) myths in the Philippines. I butchered the myths right off the bat (because I mixed different versions of myths from different parts of Visayas and Bicol) so if you're not okay with that, consider yourself warned.
