Mere decades ago, the land of Storm's End was nearly destroyed by a massive show of arcane force delivered by a cult of wizards, and while the perpetrators were stopped, distrust for all forms of magic (besides that which was granted by the gods) began to seep into the hearts and minds of the common people. Arcane magic was declared illegal, and all practitioners were either killed or imprisoned far, far away from anyone they might harm.
Some, however, do not take the mantle of magic on willingly, and must survive in a land that hates them for what they are. Some fight it. Some run from it. Some embrace it. This is their tale.

Path To Radiance; First Ascent
How did I end up here? In this game where pain and death are real? Where the only thing worse than dying is being resurrected. Where I can't logout. Many centuries ago, an unspoken darkness swept across the land taking all that was light and pure in the world with it. Creatures of this darkness roamed free to spread the darkness wherever they went consuming any trace of light remaining. In order to stop The Darkness from controlling the world, a group of priests took the remaining pieces of light and placed them within the body of two chosen children. They became known as the Children of the Light. Their sacrifice was not in vain, leaving behind spoken words for the next generation of children born with the pure light energy within them. Over time an organisation built on these words was formed called The Guardians, who were tasked to seek out the next chosen children and protect them from The Darkness should it rise again. Centuries have come and gone as the battle between the light and the darkness still rages on, unaware of the human race that creatures live among them and that a battle between them and the guardians has gone on for many years. Present day we find ourselves in a small city named New Haeven that has become the centre of the secret world of light and dark.The current story follows a Guardian by the name of Ronin. Ronin saw the faces of the new Children of the Light and was tasked by the Elders to track them down and protect them at all costs.The children were both college students and were one male and one female whose names were James Hillman and Sara Danvers..When Ronin went to see he ran into a ghost from his past, Lillian. The story continues on with Ronin seeking answers from the Elders about how a Guardian could come back from the dead.Complete
