My family was throwing a party. He lured me to a corner. He told me he wanted to marry me. I of course said yes. When I did he kissed me and started kissing me till he got to my neck. He bit me. I remember the feeling, the blood draining out of my neck. When he was finished. I fell to the floor. I looked up and saw his eyes, his teeth, and my blood on his face. I passed out and he left me there. I woke up at in my room. I just heard the doctor pronounce me dead. I sat straight up. I heard my mother scream as she ran to hug me. I remember feeling the urge to bite her. I left that day and hid in the shadows"
Penelope is a 19th century vampire. She still has problems controlling herself around blood. She makes a friend named Karlee. Karlee's brother knows her secret. So does Elliot, who is also a vampire. When bodies were showing up in Elliot's home town will they be able to stop the murders before someone they really cared about dies? Or worse?
