"I know I have reasons why I took this case." I reprimanded myself as I watch the council go through the papers. I tried to calm my sweaty hands and played the pens I have on the table. Everyone sat down to their respective seats as an indication that the ruling will start in a while. "The defendant is sentenced to fifteen years' imprisonment from this day on, 8th of March 2019. It is ordered that he will be eligible to apply for parole after serving ten years of this sentence." I wasn't able to speak after what I have heard. This can't be true. I have to win this case. "You will pay for your crimes," she whispered "For all the sins you've committed, I" she gasped as his fingers traced her lower spine, sending a shiver up her body. "I will make you pay. I will tell everyone that you are a murderer." With torturous slowness, his nose grazed the length of her neck, lips hovering just near, touching yet not quite. "For that..." he murmured, his breath a ghost against her skin, "you'd have to stay alive." His lips pressed a single, lingering kiss above her collarbone, as she arched her neck back "I might kill you," he mused, eyes locking with hers in the mirror-dark, unreadable. A tear slipped down her cheek. "before you even take a step out of this room." °~°~°~°~°~° Where will the battle for justice lead when a girl turns the lives of two brothers into a storm of chaos?
