Lydia McKenzie used to be just like any other normal, seventeen year old high school girl, fretting over what to wear for school, struggling to get good grades and dealing with boy trouble, until one day, a dangerous incident at school and a severe brain injury, made her turn off her emotions completely. Two years later, she's a complete robot who works with utmost efficiency without showing any emotions. But things start to change when she arrives at Rosewater University for higher studies.

David Lyric Donovan is the quintessential bad boy of Rosewater. Be it getting into useless fights, getting arrested for beating someone to an inch of their life or any other crimes around campus, and not to mention going through girls like a person goes through their clothes, he's done it all. He's also a professional street fighter. Girls want to 'fix' him and guys want to be him. But nothing bothers him as much as the presence of the new girl, Lydia. She's upfront and outspoken and she does not have the patience to deal with his shit, and moreover, she gets under his skin without even a slight change in her expression.

Who is she and what's in her past? He's just as fascinated with her as he is annoyed. Can romance bloom between such a mismatched pair? And will Lydia ever let herself feel again, after what she'd endured?

The world has chewed up and spit out Eleanor Robinson again and again. It began with her parents, one taken by a tragedy, one addicted to horrific drugs, and a brother who's too boozed out to know if she's alive or dead. Alone in the world, Ellie isn't exactly sure of how life works, of how anything works, really. The only two people she has that even remotely understand are Sebastian and Scarlett, a pair of siblings that remind her so much of her own family, it's hard to be around them sometimes. When the trio finally move in together after being friends for almost three years, they end up closer than ever. But the move brings along another problem into Ellie's life. Cole Everett is a fighter. From the moment he was cast aside by his family, he's had to fight for scraps at the orphanage dinner table, fight for a spot in the light of his foster family's eyes, and fight for the love of his adoptive parents. It seemed like he never won when it came to personal battles, but in the ring... In the ring, he owned the world. Years and years of the world kicking Cole's ass has shaped him into the fighter Ellie and everyone else sees him as. But the world has also shaped Ellie, and the sweet, heavy-hearted girl paints on a façade that seems only Cole can break through. As the pair attempt to navigate a decent enough relationship to be in the same room as one another without going for the throat, the people around them float between blurred lines of friend or foe. Hearts clash, past enemies arise, and the pair's hearts hang in the balance of it all.

Cliche Romance (FALEC)

31 parts Complete

"I hate-no dislike you a thousand times that you may never feel because of that thick wall of ice around your heart. That thick ice that no one might break because no one cares to even change you. Like they said, people don't change after 24 hours." I rant, turning red after that. "Who said that you couldn't break it?" I laughed at his logical answer, "What is this? A cliche romance?" • • • She was forced to date the campus king; Evan Arden. For one goal: to win over his ex. She hated him, but eventually fell head over heels for him. But the only response that she could recieve was that he doesn't love her anymore. Especially when it's the day where you graduate college. Where she feels lost. Not when she accidentally bumps into an undercover celebrity in the streets. Drunkily swearing cuss words at him and not knowing it wasn't Evan. What's worse is that she wakes up one day to be finding out that her overprotective infamous brother will be visiting her. Then she is faced with unfamiliar cameras, unforgiving people, and lastly that famous redhead celebrity that isn't familiar with feelings and love, how will this cliche romance end? credits to: itsfunneh © drivinginsane
