Rise To Deception (An Avengers X-Reader)

The Captain looked down the dimly lit hallway, thinking about his options. His brain was boggled with the hits it had taken during the earlier brawl with the telepath, leaving his vision blurring every time he turned his head too fast. The malefactor was strong, her moves were unpredictable to most, but he was adapting to her strategies. He was beginning to think Stark was right. This is a suicide mission, and he had led them into battle... accepting Fury's offer... risking their lives. He felt a small pang of guilt, filling his gut.

He took a step down the hall when he heard metal screeching behind him, making his body turn immediately around bracing himself.

Steve looked around, memorizing the walls and floors, then walked the original way he had started. The metallic sound never returned but he had heard a whisper. "Hello?" His voice was short and firm. There was no answer back except for a small shifting noise, making him turn to an empty cell. He squinted, coming close to the bars, being cautious. When his eyes adjusted, they layed upon a boy, probably no older than 17. The boy seemed to be injured showing several bandages, obviously favoring his right leg.

You look up at the starred and striped soldier. Your body unwillingly flinches as the super soldier breaks the lock with his shield, hesitantly coming in your cell. His voice comes out calm. The man says some comforting words like, 'It's going to be okay. You're safe now.'

"L-leave me alone.." You say, but the man extends a hand. Your vision turns black in an attempt to try scrambling away from him.
