Join Danny and his friends as they have many misadventures in a southwestern Pennsylvania steel town during the late 1950s and early 60s. The story has many memorable and odd characters. It was a much simpler time; there were no cell phones, computers, or video games. People still gathered around the radio to listen to 'Superman' and 'Fibber Magee and Molly'. If they were lucky enough to have a TV, it was black and white and all kitchen appliances were white. There was no Internet. The closest thing to Amazon was the Sears Catalog, where you could order anything from a toy train to a Craftsman House.
Sputnik, Echo, and who knows what were circling the earth. The local dump provided everything kids needed to keep them occupied. There were areas in town that still had outhouses. They were poor but didn't know it. Kids could roam the neighborhood without any worries. Their parents would tell them "Come home when the streetlights come on."
If you are looking for a book like 'War and Peace' or 'Moby Dick', then look somewhere else. This book is more like Jean Shepherd's 'A Christmas Story'; if it were a movie it would be rated 'G' for general audiences. Whether you are 12 or 112, I am sure you are going to enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.

So this was an idea I've had for a while now concerning the capital and states. I started out with Alaska, then moved to New York and it just snow balled from there. This book will start with Delaware, end with Hawaii and will put D.C. in middle with the rest of states from the 1700s. And if anybody wants to create fan art for them feel free to do it and if you want your art displayed here, I'll make a separate book just for the art. Please be mindful of the fact that these are my ideas on how they all look and act. Before anybody gets on me about Pennsylvania, I've read other stories where Penn is albino and can switch from acting like Prussia to Austria and back again with either a trigger word or song. I've done it so that even though Penn mainly acts like Austria, he will switch to Prussia if AND only when the family is being seriously threatened. The only countries who know about the capital and the states are as follows: 1. Russia, Ukraine, Belarus- reason is because of the purchase of Alaska back in 1867 and that New York decided to follow his grandma to meet this new potential sibling 2. Lithuania- we all know that he lived with Alfred for a time, so he one day literally ran into Alaska and from there meet the 50 of Alfred's children 3. Prussia- two words people VALLEY FORGE, it was not a good winter that year at all 4. Canada and Mexico- Mexico knew already because the states along the southern border are hers (yes, here Mexico is a girl named Esperanza) and Canada found out shortly after the war of 1812 Hope you all enjoy reading the book and as a pre warning, all and any flames will be used to roast marshmallows on bayonets (don't tell Gilbert about that last part) over backyard fire pits.

[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Thought you could get away, didn't you?" The man who I saw before asks. His husky voice booms in the hollow tunnel, reverberating off of the dirt walls. His voice sounds familiar, and a realization strikes me. It sounds like the man from my dream. I remember him holding a gun and wearing a blue suit, smiling evilly at me. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living. What do you get when you mix beer, tequila, and sexual fantasies? Don't ask. Avery With a great job, two of the greatest friends ever, a supportive brother, and an apartment all her own, Avery Ellis didn't have much to complain about. Well...if she could just ignore how every guy that she's ever been with has cheated on her, then she had nothing to complain about. Still, other than her love life, Avery's life was pretty uncomplicated. That is, until disaster strikes like lightning. Disaster = Nicholas Savage, her boss. Nicholas With a successful business, two of the most loyal friends ever, more money than he'll ever need, and the world pretty much at his fingertips, Nicholas Savage had no complaints. Well...if he didn't count his childhood and his trust issues, then he had nothing to complain about. Still, other than his issues with women, Nicholas' life was pretty magnificent. That is, until temptation crashes out of control. Temptation = Avery Ellis, his employee. Oh, the web we weave... With a girls' night that's turned into a disaster, and a guys' night that's turned into possible felonious kidnapping charges, Avery finds herself unable to resist everything that is Nicholas Savage, regardless of the fact that he is her boss. In a classic cliché, Avery and Nicholas end up breaking all the rules. Their connection is undeniable, but then so is the baggage they both carry around with them. With trust being an issue for both of them, everything comes crashing down all around them when old ghosts start showing up and begin haunting them both. Avery finds herself regretting that damn glitter and peanut butter fantasy, and Nicholas finds himself regretting being such a terrible wingman. NOTE: This book contains adult language, adult situations, explicit sexual encounters, violence, abuse, and some really horrible karaoke singing. If sensitive to any of the aforementioned issues, please do not purchase.

In 1885 a Pennsylvanian oil field produced 77 % of the world's oil supply. By 1889, J.Maxwell's equations for electro-magnetism and H.R. Hertz's, proof inspired Einstein's theory of relativity. By 1841, W.Talbot and J. Herschel had fixed photographic images on silver iodide coated paper. Kodachrome film captured red, green, and blue colours in three layers of emulsion in 1936. J.M. Spangler developed the first successful portable 'Electric Suction Sweeper' in 1908. In 1851, I. Singer added a foot treadle drive to his sewing machines and, by 1900, a shirt could be made in one hour. In 1885, John Starley and William Sutton invented the modern safety bicycle. S. Morse sent his first telegraph message in 1844 and 32 years later, Alexander Graham Bell made the first long-distance telephone call. The rotary Strowger switch allowed connections without an operator in 1891. Banks of these later provided 13,200 voice channels on one coaxial cable. Marconi's spark gap radio of 1896 was crucial during the 1912 Titanic disaster. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. It began when we learned to control fire, evolved articulate speech and stumbled onto the way to create infinite wealth; free trade. The discovery of agriculture made us richer but we also learned how to destroy wealth. Great civilization grew up but then disappeared leaving only incredible ruins and ideas. Later books detail some of the ideas and developments that increased the average life span from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day (and to $140 per day in some countries).
