Ben Rona is disgraced. Abandoned by his would-be instructor and blacklisted from all other literary agents, the brooding poet is isolated and shoved out of his elitist world of decaying novels and libraries full of cobwebs.

Faced with no options in the literary world, Ben takes up the only offer he has: working in his Aunt's flower shop. Jarred by the town's all too sunshiney nature, Ben makes his discomfort more than clear. Struggling through his past and trying to find his place in the present, will Ben find a home in Charlotteston? Is there any hope for his dreams of becoming a literary scholar? What about the mysterious girl around the corner? Or is he meant to be forever stuck in his desolate life?
