In the town of Ransato, people have to obey certain rules that were established a long time ago. Of these rules, the most important one is that the first child to reach the age of 10 every year, must be sacrificed to a demon which people prefer to call 'Lamia', in order to protect the town from danger. However, when a boy named Yuki turns 10, things go wrong. Yuki gets sacrificed to the demon, but wakes up right before the ritual starts. Completely in shock, the boy runs away and somehow survives a Sacrificial Night, for the first time in centuries.
