Pelarah Leverese lives in a divided world, where America is separated into 7 territories; fire, water, wind, ground, life, death, and light and dark. Life is hard enough as it is when she becomes 14, and is separated from her family to be taken to the territory she belongs in like all the other 14 year olds. The America she lives in is far from the one we know, which is filled with unimaginable power, and creatures so foreign we would call them impossible. But to the Americans of this book, it is simply the way things have been for over a century.

Then one day, some soldiers turn up in a shopping center where she's staying for the night. They take her to a place where more teenagers live. It's nothing like a home. There, they have to train, though nobody knows what for. When Lorelai decides not to do what she's being told and take things in her own hands, she doesn't know what awaits her. As she tries to escape the people trying to use her-and many others-for their plans, for the first time, she gets the chance to find out what happened to this destroyed and abandoned world-and maybe also about her past. English isn't my first language, so I'd be happy to receive some criticism and also tips. I'd like to know if my story is interesting, so I know if I should go on and how to improve it :) I know, my writing isn't so good in the beginning, but I think it gets better throughout the story.

When the two meet and are forced to work together, who knows what will happen to the government, and everyone caught in their crosshairs. TRIGGER WARNINGS: mentions of r*pe, some assault, blood, gore, offensive language, death, alcohol, tattoos!!! If any of the above trigger you, please dont read!!! Ill put trigger warnings before chapters with really bad stuff, but I cant warn all of it, so please be careful!!!
