Pelarah Leverese lives in a divided world, where America is separated into 7 territories; fire, water, wind, ground, life, death, and light and dark. Life is hard enough as it is when she becomes 14, and is separated from her family to be taken to the territory she belongs in like all the other 14 year olds. The America she lives in is far from the one we know, which is filled with unimaginable power, and creatures so foreign we would call them impossible. But to the Americans of this book, it is simply the way things have been for over a century. 
But when Pelarah settles into her new life, the already damaged world she lives in is thrown into chaos-a war of fear and power.

Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up. Good or Bad has yet to be decided...only someone's bound to get hurt, someone's bound to be broken. The only question is will the wounds heal or fester and kill?

A dystopian story in which people have unnatural powers Lorelai Walters can't remember much of her past. She's always lived on the streets, she never knew home. Then one day, some soldiers turn up in a shopping center where she's staying for the night. They take her to a place where more teenagers live. It's nothing like a home. There, they have to train, though nobody knows what for. When Lorelai decides not to do what she's being told and take things in her own hands, she doesn't know what awaits her. As she tries to escape the people trying to use her-and many others-for their plans, for the first time, she gets the chance to find out what happened to this destroyed and abandoned world-and maybe also about her past. English isn't my first language, so I'd be happy to receive some criticism and also tips. I'd like to know if my story is interesting, so I know if I should go on and how to improve it :) I know, my writing isn't so good in the beginning, but I think it gets better throughout the story.
