A Moment's Notice
New Orleans was alive, so was Malcolm, they were there to be loved, and he loved them all. So did William, that was something Malcolm was unaware of. He knew his Grandad was the One-Night-killer, but he never knew what role his Dad, William played on the twisted playground.
Detective Thomas Sadler was undercover, he worked as a detective, but he was a seasoned military man, so was his Senior Analyst. Johnny de Marco. They were the Watchdogs, the men sent out so clean up every mess, and to put an end to any tyrant. Thomas tried, he did it all by the book, but he couldn't find the evidence he needed to put Malcolm Jnr away.
Bodies were piling up, each found in a Motel, each with their eyes open, and each with something missing from their person. Malcolm believed in true love, and as long as the clock was ticking, he knew they would wait for him, where that special place was, was a mystery to him. But as long as their hearts beat, and they told him they loved him, he kept them 'alive' in the various watches he made in Timeless Antiquities. A business passed down from Malcolm Snr to his son William and in turn to his son Malcolm.
When Malcolm moved into the Kirby-house, things changed, ghosts and death seemed to follow him like a bad cold, it was all over the place. The Watchdogs had a hand in the demise of Malcolm, it was all swept under the rug, by Captain Gabrielle Belmonte, Johnny's estranged wife, acting Captain, and a Watchdog. Love is blind, not quite as blind as Johnny was to the truth, to the lies, and to the fact that Gabrielle, had a hand in everything that went wrong in his life, and she was the ultimate puppeteer. Malcolm and William danced to her tune.
