16 year old Kate Duncan had grown up with an drunk abusive dad all her life. Not telling anyone about it because she was scared of what her father might do to her or her mother - who also is abused. When Kate was born her father made an arrangement for her to be married off to Noah Wilson, only if he had not been wed by the age of 23.
