The dove's broken wing

The first time Madeline Murray wanted to ride in the Scorpio Races was when she was seven years old. Now at 16, her ambition hasn't changed. Although Maddie knows that very few riders come back alive after the competition- she doesn't care, thinking that there is nothing standing between her and winning. How quite wrong she is. In her fantasy world, she can see herself holding up the trophy. But in reality, Maddie is in no way prepared for what will happen.
