Exiles.
The term referred to people banished from the Tower of Mages. Leo Cross is an exile who runs away from them as they hunt Leo down for reasons he keep secret. Leo is a third-rate sorcerer who happens to have a lot of magical artifacts in his possession making him a threat to the Tower, but he would rather be never involved with them again. A series of events would lead to him being dragged back to the Tower whether he wants to or not, and participate in a Civil war that may change the world.
