Every family has their traditions. Kathryn "Kate" Larson of the Larson Trick riders is competing for the title of Miss National Rodeo. Kate's Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother had all been crowned Queen of the rodeo during their youth, and now it was Kate's turn.
But, the last thing she wants to do is travel all over the country, doing up her hair and makeup.
Kate just wants to perform her trick riding act with her trusty appaloosa steed Ranger, while her family runs the trick riding academy back home.
Wade Jerrit, CEO of one of the largest rope manufacturer in the world. Calf ropers, and team ropers love Jerrit rope. But while Wade has the skills for roping he enjoys steer wrestling better and watching Kate Larson's trick riding act during rodeo intermissions. The later becoming his favorite other activity.
