It was foretold that Zeus's first wife, Metis, would have two children. The first being Athena and the second being a son with so much power he would overthrow Zeus. Fearing for his future as a king, Zeus killed Metis. Athena was born, springing out from Zeus's head fully grown. Athena became the goddess of wisdom and she possessed a secret known to only four others, the Fates and Metis. The secret being there was a child before Athena, a son. A son Zeus never knew about for the Fates told Metis to keep him a secret. His name is Perseus and he will avenge his mother's death.

With what began with a terrible loss actually leads up to a life he never expected to have. He earns great reward, respect, and a bright future for completing a severe quest that depended on succession. However, like many quests this one's not going to be easy. Whether it be mythological monsters or a haunting from his past, he manages to triumph over them all thanks to a couple of familiar and new faces. Throughout his quest he finds answers to many questions to his life but one: Is this where his story ends? --- Before you begin reading there's a few more things I want to mention regarding the story. Some chapters are narrated by different characters (symbols will be provided), there are mild abusive moments, it doesn't immediately dive into arriving at Camp Half-Blood nor knowing the main character's name, and this story takes place a month after The Titans Curse (so Percy, Annabeth, and Grover won't be included in "this" story). This is my first story, so I hope y'all like it. This story is dedicated to my high school teachers (for the sake of their privacy, I won't give their names). It was thanks to them I found my passion for writing and came up with the idea to post my stories.
