Serendipity's name means luck, a fitting name for a girl who is a prospective Ten. In her world, everyone is placed somewhere on a scale of One to Nine based on their appearance. Only a very rare handful of people are chosen by the supreme Council to embody the perfect human specimen: a Ten. Serendipity has been in training for her entire life in the hopes that someday she will fill that illustrious role. However, as the date for the Council's decision draws closer, Serendipity begins to realize just how much power is in a numerical label and just how ugly beauty can be.

18 parts Complete

Athena Duncan has just turned eleven, which makes her eligible to be Listed. But why would they pick her, when she just turned eleven? No eleven-year-old has been Listed before, until now. Athena is Listed, and now she must face the challenges that follow with that title. If she succeeds in the tasks, then she lives, and spends the rest of her life in the government. Failing to do so will lead to her death, but Athena doesn't know that. The only thing that makes her happy that she was Listed is a girl she meets, Lavender. Lavender is a year younger, and was still Listed. Athena makes it her mission to find out how Lavender was Listed, but she may find out more than she wants to.
