Magic returned to the public world a generation ago and the world is still reeling. Able to come out of the woodwork, magical practitioners and creatures alike have slowly integrated into the everyday human world. Fairies running the nearest nightclub, gnomes in the banks, and at the top of everything an enclave of witches as the new High Society Elite. Hoarders of knowledge, the only way for a lowborn human to craft their own magic is to give oneself over entirely to a magical family as an indentured servant in exchange for becoming a witch in one's own right.
Harmony is one such indent, marked as someone in service to the Wards, one of the most influential families in America. Six years into their service and only a year from freedom, the unthinkable happens and Harmony must decide where the line is drawn between self interest and self preservation.
