They soon had made a hierarchy of champions and priests, alike. The priests would soon The priests were powerful mages, while the champions were put in place to protect nine of the ten priests. The priests were all given masks, and named accordingly to their mask and abilities. They were yet seeking the means to fill the spot for the final mask that would soon be known as, Konahrik. The Warlord. One fateful day, the Dovah that protected and had chosen these priests, came to them with a ritual. Something of a forbidden knowledge that required them to choose a champion to fill this role. He would endure something that could only be described as, walking the abyss. But should the champion survive, he would gain the power to not only wield the mantle of Konahrik, but he would be immortalized with the blessing of the Dovah. The priests agreed to follow this ritual as the Dovah had urged them to. As they all prepared for this ritual, some could see the woe that filled the eyes of one in particular. Upon further explanation, the priest known as Krosis, learned that the woeful Dovah would be giving his own life to make this ritual come to fruition. The priests mourned the one known as Duaandosil. But it wasn't his life that he mourned. It was what the ritual had cost. Finally the ritual had come to full preparation, and they priests had picked the champion of their ritual. Synopsis: Aeris had never known love. As an orphan, she had spent her life yearning for warmth, for a place to call home. When she finally found someone who made her feel wanted, she clung to the illusion, believing that maybe-just maybe-she was no longer alone. But that illusion shattered the day she saw her lover in the arms of another woman. "You're pathetic," he sneered when she confronted him. And with one cruel shove, he sent her crashing against the wall. Pain struck her like a bolt of lightning, and then-darkness. She thought it was the end. Instead, she woke up in the body of a breathtaking maiden with long, silk-like black hair. Her limbs were bound, her vision blurred, and before she could even comprehend what was happening, she heard the chants of a ritual. She was being sacrificed-as a bride to a dragon. The people around her whispered prayers, their eyes filled with fear. They were offering her to him-the mighty, fearsome dragon lord who ruled these lands with fire and fury. She wasn't just anyone now. She was the chosen offering-the bride meant for the Dragon King. A being of pure darkness, a ruler feared across the world. They said he was a monster, a black-scaled dragon with a presence so overwhelming that the very air trembled in his wake. He controlled the elements and wielded power beyond imagination. He was ruthless, merciless, and unseen in his human form. No one had ever escaped his grasp. And now, she belonged to him. As the sky darkened and the great dragon descended from the heavens, his massive wings casting shadows over the trembling villagers, she finally saw him. Glowing red eyes, burning like molten fire, locked onto hers-not with rage, not with hunger, but with something unexpected. Curiosity. Possession. Fate had given her another chance. But was it a blessing or a curse? ---
