Throughout history legends of dragons have been told: Fafnir, Beowulf, Euflamm, and much more, tales of fire-breathing, serpent-like beasts, with legs and wings, often protecting a hoard of treasure and gold, Emmeline a young girl just approaching adulthood is alone in her village. Edmund, an older boy from her village wants her with a great passion and treats her as scum for her rejection. Hated and misunderstood for being different finds her life at a standstill, a curse and a choice are presented to her, a chance to change her life forever. When on a trip into the forest Emmeline encounters a decision and a chance at freedom. Emmeline ventures out into the forest with a group from her village and she learns of something terrible and it changes her life for the better.
