17 year-old Brittany Morton is the head cheerleader at Parkway Highschool. Life is perfect for her the parties, the guys, the clothes, the grades, everything. Until one day her life turns upside down when she is diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer. She looses her hair, goes through chemotherapy, and looses her so-called friends and popularity. No one will acknowledge her except for nerdy 17 year-old Austin Walsh. Austin is that kid that goes unnoticed, who always sits in the back, who knows your name but you don't know his. Will Austin be Brittany's only friend? Or will she get her old “friends" back?

She had to keep up her image as a good person, after all. She never noticed those people that were stumbling beneath her throne. Nor did she want to. She was assigned a school project to visit a patient at the nearest hospital and interview them. Then, she met him.
