It's almost been a full eight years since the Weirdmaggedon, eight years since Bill's official termination from existence, and Dipper Pines is comfortable where he stands. At twelve years old, he would have loved to run back to Gravity Falls, with the intent of exploration and pure thrill. But, at the mature age of twenty, living in his own apartment in Oakland, California with his sister, Mabel, his most exciting adventures are testing out the local cafes to pinpoint which one wins his coffee addiction over the strongest.
Yet, amidst another normal, simple, easygoing week, an uneasy disappearance and an eerily comforting reappearance occurs, leaving no choice but for our Pines twins to dart back to his former summer vacation home, tails between their legs.
With the re-entry of Bill Cipher, mysteriously risen from the dead, and as Dipper's old friends are slowly being picked off one by one by a daunting force, will these mortifying times be too much for him to handle? Will the townsfolk of Gravity Falls ever reveal who or what is behind the wheel of this wild ride? Will Bill be endlessly blamed for traumatic events that hold no proof he's the puppeteer behind it all?
Or could there be another mysterious creature haunting the outskirts of the town?
