Dove has a secret. A secret that means her past has left her with scars physically and mentally. She lives her life ashamed and hidden. she chose at a young age not to love herself because of her scars. Zach is tough. He's never really connected with his emotions because he's never had a reason to. He refuses any sense of love after watching the heartache it has brought to his family. Knowing that he could voluntarily put himself up for the chance for such heartache disgusts him. Then one night the two meet for the first time ever. She hides her scars and he hides his emotions. But all boundaries can be broken. Even for these two lost teens. But as Dove and Zach start to become closer they start to realise their fears. Doves scars and Zach's lack of trust could just about be the breaking point for this loving couple. But maybe Zach could slowly learn to love Doves scars and maybe Zach could begin to trust in Doves love. But is this all too far out of reach for the young couple and could they be the cure for both of their suffering?

Roman

#1 in boyfriend (um what? Am I dreaming?) "Oh kid," he laughs and walks closer to me. He doesn't get close enough to stand between my legs, but his thighs still brush my shins. "Maybe you'll be able to pay better attention if you get used to this," he says, casting a small glance down to his exposed torso. I doubt it. Roman is Sadie's childhood crush. And the brother of her best friend, Naomi. For years she has hidden her feeling for him because you just aren't allowed to be in love with your best friend's brother. When they all come home for Thanksgiving break, Sadie and Naomi are transported back to their high school years of sleepovers, blanket forts, and exchanging secrets. But for Sadie, this means hiding her feelings for Naomi's brother just like she had for all of high school, but now that she's older and more mature, will her affections for him dissipate, or will she realize that there was no way she could ever hide her feelings from him or her best friend?
