16 year old, Serenity Meyes, has been dreading the day she chooses her faction. She fears that her choice won't be satisfactory to her parents, but she did it anyways.

She chose Dauntless.

There she meets, Beatrice Prior or Tris, and Four or Tobias.

She keeps hidden in the shadows and soon though, the instructor, Ashton Deviant shows some interest in her though to most of the initiates, they say he is scary from us quiet voice, and definitely intimidating.

But Serenity doesn't listen to the rumors like how she was taught in Abnegation.

But how will she survive when her Dauntless instructors and leaders want her dead at their feet and when Erudite wants war against the Abnegation for hiding information that was meant to stay secret?

And will she fall for Ash, especially when there's no time for love in dark time?
