Hunger Games
"No. Hell no. I hate this school. They CANNOT do this to us" were my thoughts as Principal McErnest gave every single junior student summer school. They said we're immature. Wild. Passionate. And a little stupid. They said we should be glad it isn't actual school. It's team building skills and "turn up functions". Hunger games shit. You can trade out teammates and eliminate them, or have them deceive a rivaling team. Except there's a twist. The winning team selects the graduating class, so you better kiss ass or fake it. Only the sneakiest will survive. Kendall Viper just wants what every junior at Eastwick High does. Not to have summer school. That's it. She had everything else she wanted. Or so she thought. After she finds that her boyfriend's cheating on her, she sets in motion a plan with her ragtag team (consisting of a pregnant girl, some hoodlums, smart assholes, and a sexy asshole who's off limits) that could ruin everything.

Mess

"I'm not good for you, Scott." I say, my voice sounding louder than it did in my head. Scott rubs his face in exasperation and groans before turning to face me. "Sky, you are. You are and that's why I'm in love with you, because you're good and I hate it because I'm constantly afraid that you'll push me away like you did before, but I love it at the same time because you make me want to be good too, to give a shit about things. Christ, I quit smoking for you and it's been hard but I want to make you happy. Because you are good, and I know because you've been through so much crap and you are still so fucking beautiful, inside and out. If you leave me now I won't be able to cope, please. Please, Sky." At this point his hands are covering mine, kissing them with endless pleads and his eyes are glazed over and impassioned, burning with the fire of a thousand suns, boring into mine as he gives himself to me and I'm utterly overthrown. ******************************************************************* Boys. Make-ups. Break-ups. Parties. Drinking. School. Friends. Enemies. In other words, being 16-going-on-17. Sky Brodie is heading towards the end of Sophomore year in California, dragging along with her an endless bane of uncomfortable predicaments. What do you do when the world is trying to make your life unspeakably miserable? How do you work your way through a Mess?
