When Laertes found out that his father was killed, he flew into a rage, returning to Denmark with poison in his pocket and vengeance in his heart. Buying the poison seemed very straight-forward, unless he didn't know french. Unwittingly being met by Father Lawrence, and getting the same poison as him, the plan made by Laertes and Claudius didn't go quite how they wanted, seeing as both Laertes and Hamlet wake up 48 hours later. Set in modern times, a story of after the fight.

It's not 100% clear, but there is a slight cross-over with Romeo and Juliet, just for fun eh?

I would like to thank the following user: http://www.wattpad.com/user/DaughterofProspero for working with me on this, firing improvised conversations back and forth involving the characters, and putting up with me going on and on about this because I get hooked on things and don't shut up about them. She has her own version of this on her page, and I suggest you read it because it's awesome. Also thanks to her for the use of her song, Brother. It made me cry, it's beautiful.

A.D. 1386. Innocent of Lady Marguerite de Thibouville's accusation of the hideous crime of rape, French knight Jacques Le Gris doesn't want to face her angry husband Jean De Carrouges in a trial by combat, a duel that should determine, by God's judgement, who's telling the truth. Jean has been his best friend, Jacques owes him his life and vice versa more times that he cares to count, and has even been his eldest son's godfather. For all these reasons, Jacques doesn't want to kill Jean to prove his innocence, which would also mean that Marguerite would burn on the stake because convicted of perjury. Despite her lies, Jacques doesn't want to be responsible of her death. Of course, there's the chance that Jean kills Jacques, and he's not willing to die because of a false accusation. Jacques' only option is therefore to go on the run, even if this means being considered a coward and guilty anyway. As King Charles VI of France had been very reluctant to allow the judicial duel, Jacques thinks that, perhaps, if he takes the flight leaving behind a note explaining his reasons, the sovereign will understand and possibly agree with his act, if not pardon it. Taking all of his money and easily transportable values, Jacques secretly leaves France and moves to the Republic of Venice, where he plans to offer his services to an old acquaintance of his, Count Galeotto Malatesta of Valdastico... "Shhh I know you want me too. I can see it in your eyes. And you wearing all those tight office dresses didn't help at all." He connected his lips to her neck, sucking onto it. She let out a moan, her legs barely holding her up. She couldn't resist anymore so she pulled his head from her neck and connected her lips to his in a hungry kiss. "Oh God knows how long have wanted this." He said through their kiss. "You look sexy in that lingerie. But sorry I want it off." She lifted her hands allowing him to take her nightie off. "Damn baby, those breasts have grown so huge. Imagine when I get you pregnant." ***************************************************************************** Leaving home after her parents supported her Elder sister to marry her fiance, Emily had to return after five years to deal her past and move on. 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 '𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆' 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 A lifetime of grief. A thousand years of waiting. Enough torment to cripple the divine. But Sanya found Edmund, at the end of it all. He held her in his arms again. They were reunited. After all the pain, there was love. And love seemed enough to give up everything- yet again. Love was enough to take his hand, and walk into another realm. But new worlds do not fix old aches- and they can even end up creating new ones. New people, new sights, new moments do not take away from the memories of the old. Loss- of home, of family, of love, of identity, of everything- can be pushed back, but the agony of it festers like an untreated wound. And, really, is love- even love that has survived so much- enough to cure so many wounds, borne of too many kinds of pain? But Sanya doesn't care. Edmund thinks that he doesn't care, either. They have each other again- no amount of teachers and separate schools and parents can keep them away from each other- and that togetherness was what was important. That was what mattered. But the question is, I suppose- is the once-True lying to her love, or to herself, or both? - 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: Mature language, explicit sexual scenes, use of slurs, attempted suicide, self-harm, racism, queerphobia, mention of internalised homophobia, violence, recollection of trauma. - #3 in #narniaau #4 in #medievalfantasy #5 in #skandarkeynes #5 in #ocfanfiction #7 in #worldwar2 #8 in #narniafanfiction #28 in #1940s #31 in #kingsandqueens •••• The Alliance Series, as found on @EdsGryff: 'Alliance' 'The Heirs' 'Moonshine' 'Fairytale?' ••••
Before the Teardrops Fall by Jesbelieve
8 parts Complete
Ron woke up in the same room, with the same sound of rain pitter-pattering against the window, and the same throbbing ache on his head. As he scanned the room, the scene around him seemed to be a decade old. Memories from that time surfaced then faded away, merging into bits of other memories like trickles of rain converging on the window pane. Ron had been stuck in a time loop and he wasn't even sure if this was just a dream. Would he eventually wake up? Or was he a dead man crossing the borders to heaven? However, some thing was amiss this time. Elena, his childhood beau, had lost her mind. But before he could know more, he was spun back into the past. Could this be a chance to change Elena's life? In the silence, the sound of clock hands ticked away mercilessly, echoing loudly in his ears. He could hear the sound of sand rushing down the hourglass embedded in the old pocket watch. Outside the window, grey clouds drift forward, lighting up in bright red flashes upon each strike of lightning. When the clouds arrive overhead, Ron would be spun out of this time again. Can he uncover the truth before the teardrops fall, again? ------------------ Author's note: Hi there! This is my first novel :) This is a story about our regrets in life. Inspired by my favourite movie. Can anyone guess what movie it is? After I started writing the story, I started to see that there are different movies and stories on the similar themes. I was grateful for all the inspiration and hoped I added enough twists to make this unique on its own! I wanted my first story to have a kinda mystery romance vibe. I hope to pull it off! Hopefully the story excites you as much as it excites me! I appreciate comments and feedbacks. Thank you.
