Disclaimer: While some characteristics of the main character do apply to me...such as the picture book I wrote when I was three...this is not actually a story about my life. All characters in this story are completely fictional and any likeness they hold to persons alive or otherwise is completely coincidental. Also, my name is not Leanne. Just thought I'd put that out there.
Description: Leanne is your ordinary high school girl, except for a few things. She doesn't really have any friends, just acquaintances. She doesn't like to get in on the action...she's much more content to sit back and observe. And she notices things that most kids her age wouldn't normally notice. Her only true escape? Writing. It's the one thing that Leanne can always count on. However, when a friend...eh hem, sorry...ACQUAINTANCE of hers asks her to write for the school newspaper, (and she stupidly accepts,) things start to get a little out of control. Now, Leanne isn't just in the action, she's creating it...and she'll have to learn the hard way what it really costs to write.

High school student Anthony Scalese was having a normal day when his friends decided that they wanted to attend a party. After bumping into Emma, the girl of his dreams, in a not-so-positive way, he realizes that the day isn't going well. It gets worse when tragedy strikes, and his friend takes his own life at that party, forcing him into a depression that not even his little sister can help him out of. The only thing that keeps him going is his excitement for a school camping trip that is coming up with his best friend Edward. After a little mishap while hiking down from their camp site, Anthony and his major crush fall down the side of the mountain and get stuck, then get chased by a gun-wielding maniac into a cave. After what seems like days, they make it out of the cave alive, only to find out that they have ended up in a new world: a world where nothing makes sense. There are giants and leprechauns and shapeshifters...but there is also a great darkness that is out to destroy everyone-and everything-that it sees. Young Anthony finds out that it is up to him and Emma to save this new world with great powers that he had no idea he had, and make it home before anybody suspects a thing. Told from a first-person point-of-view, it goes into detail about the thought processes of a young man who has everything to lose. The protagonist deals with real life struggles every day, including the death of his friend, his dad who left him at an early age, and the pain of seeing his little sister being hurt by her boyfriend. He also has to take charge and become a hero for those who can't against an unwavering bully in a far-away world. My book blends fiction with reality, as the reader follows along in the life of a shy high school student who gets thrown into many situations he must overcome as he finds out who he truly is and why it is him who needs to save the world, while keeping the reader guessing every step of the way.Complete

Solene likes to write stories. She writes stories that she knows will never happen to her. Stories that somehow give her comfort knowing that at least it happened somewhere... Not exactly in real life, right? But being the fantasizing weirdo as she is, she decides to imagine herself as a character from Letters to Juliet and writes a small note, then places it inside a book. It was a crazy for her to do so, but somehow she felt like someone actually was going to read it and act like her genie and grant her all the things that she wrote. ha. haha. hahaha. Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...
