At 26, Liberty Montgomery has barely begun to live life. Married nearly right out of high school, she's known no other life than the one her husband provided. Returning to Liberty Lake, her hometown namesake, with her 4 1/2 year old son in tow, Libby doesn't know what to expect. Rediscovering herself and her faith seem like insurmountable obstacles.

Jake Owens has always lived in Liberty Lake. He loves the town and the people in it. Running his father's construction business just seems like a natural progression of life. When Libby returns, bringing with it old feelings he thought he'd long buried, he finds himself wanting to help her in any way he can.

Libby isn't looking for help or friendship. She wants to stand on her own two feet. Love certainly isn't a dream she chases anymore. As a mother, she has her son to consider and her own wants don't enter the picture. Can she take what Jake is offering, and find a new life, one that provides all that she has been missing?

BEFORE YOU READ- DISCLAIMER! The main character is blunt, hates life and is very vulgar and hateful towards everyone and everything . However there is a reason for this. She is strong-headed and short-tempered, ill-mannered and disrespectful (though some may say in a loveable way). If this isn't for you, then I wouldn't suggest reading this book. It's about character development and personal growth. - Kody Lawrence is not normal. On the contrary, she's everything but. When the hot-headed, short-tempered, rude new girl arrives in the small town of Raven Hollow, Maine, most people are put off by her unexpected and -considering her horrible attitude and pessimism- unwanted appearance. However, despite her constant locked jaw, clenched fists and cold glare, Lilah Johansson, Kody's appointed 'buddy', can't help but want to be her new friend in spite of their not-so-impressive first impression. But Lilah is not to be sold separately, and with the friendly redhead comes four boys with charming smiles and welcoming arms that hide their own secrets and covered-up lies. Amongst the group of five, Dakota Black is the one who stands out with his calculating eyes and kind heart, and while Kody has no intention to stick around longer than a few months, he might just be the one to change that. With a duffel bag of money, a box-filled with different identities, a pocket full of problems and a closet stacked to the brim with secrets, Kody's quiet and peaceful Senior year takes a couple of unexpected turns. The only question is: Are they for better or for worse? ___ (Small disclaimer: The first few chapters aren't the greatest, but I took some time off from writing this book and came back to it when I'd gotten a bit better with writing, so if you can get past the rocky start, hopefully you won't regret it). ___ Re-published: 7.4.18 (7th of April) Finished: 9.3.20 (9th of March) Currently editing and correcting mistakes / plot holes. (Editing chapters at random)

Having a best friend since childhood to do everything with and be inseparable from is the greatest feeling in the world. That is until one randomly cuts off the other and moves away, ending all contact and hope for an explanation. Alex Pierce is a college student just trying to get through life as stress-free as possible. After just getting out of a two-year-long relationship, all he wants to do is move on from the past, something he struggles to do. Despite how desperate he is to be carefree, he is constantly juggling other obligations and responsibilities and he's just trying to keep his head above the water. River Moore is your all-star athlete. After switching schools and accepting a starting position on the basketball team, he wants to continue his college athlete lifestyle and live his life to the fullest. After a traumatic experience a year prior, he likes to focus on the future. Spontaneous has always been his personality since he was young. When Alex and River are reunited six years after their unbreakable friendship dies, Alex thinks he will finally get the answers to his long-awaited questions. Unfortunately for him, River did not have the same idea. River claims that he does not remember Alex at all. This creates a whirlwind of awkwardness between the childhood friends, and they are forced to realize just how much all of that time apart affected them. •~• {Spinoff from 'Effortless' but can be read as a standalone.} {TW⚠️: This book contains depictions of mental health struggles, seizures, mature scenes, and strong language. Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations. While others her age are embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! highest ranking || #4 on teenfiction || #5 on romance || #2 on new adult || #1 on humor ********************************** I walked outside, found my Uber, and got in the backseat. "Hello." I greeted, before proceeding to tell my driver about the house address. However, I couldn't really do that because as the driver turned around to face me, I realized that Oh! It's Aaron Owens! OH MY GOD. *********************************** Ellie Rosell. Casual teenager trying to get through high school by watching Netflix, eating, spending her money on concerts, and swooning over hot guys. Just when Ellie thought she'll spend her last year of hell known as school with the same boring routine, she met Aaron Owens. And from down there, things changed. For sure. Did they change for the better? Since she's actually making friends, going out, and dare she says, falling in love? Or for the worse? With family secrets, mental health issues, heartbreak, and fake people? After all, she met the one and only Aaron Owens, and he changed her life. *********************************** "Oh my gosh! Author! reading this story was just... I have no words. The adventure you took me on was just dreamy. You made me laugh out loud so hard and you also made me cry. You made me feel the second-hand embarrassments that Ellie felt and it was so lively. You made me feel as if I was Ellie and you gave me hope that I could one day feel the same way as Ellie did towards Aaron. And all of these reasons is why your book is one of the best books I've ever read and let me tell you I've read a lot of books. Thanks for the journey and the hope you have given me!
