Cover made by the amazing @mikeyspizzadope (go check them out they're cool) It's 3 A.M., and you can't sleep. Your heart feels like it might burst out of your chest. Your ears are ringing, echoing in your brain, and everything hurts so badly. Your vision is going blurry as you try to fight back the tears, and you're wondering why you even try anymore. At one point or another, most of us have experienced the feeling of worthlessness, shame, or guilt. We feel like we're at rock bottom, and it seems like nothing will ever get any better no matter how hard we try. One thing we do know for sure, though, is that where there is dark, there is bound to be light, no matter how small that speck may be. There's always hope, no matter how far out of reach it may seem. There's always light in the dark. TW/CW: mentions of anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts. "I know that even when things seem dark and at rock bottom, there's always hope. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. As small as that little shaft of light may seem, it's not out of reach." - something a friend of mine once told me All of the poems in this book have been written by me. Completed on August 22, 2020

She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. To Warm Frozen Fingers // A Short Story Collection di MidnightBeast1098

I like to write. As you may be able to tell. I haven't been very good at writing lately. As you may also have been able to tell. That's why I've decided to write a short story collection. The stories won't interlink, some may vary wildly and you might even wonder if they were written by the same person (the answer is yes). Overall, I'm aiming to write 23 stories, which was one per day for 23 days but I failed at that (*seethes* college work...) so now I'm just aiming to finish it before winter is over! The stories won't be very long - I'm only allowed to write for 10 minutes per story, just to get me going again (and literally warm my fingers, I get really really cold fingers for some reason) and the most I've ever written in that time is around 500 words. This is a collection of poems written as a way to control a person's feelings; originally they were never intended to be seen by human eyes. This is written from the point of view of someone who struggles with emotional turmoil but feels they cannot tell others about it because their afraid it might drag them into the same torture they feel everyday. Depression is a serious thing that plagues our world and this is one of many ways it can affect a person. Too many people act like this doesn't exist or its a style but its not its a serious issue people have become desensitized to. When this book was first published it climbed its way to #1 in depression, to my dismay I took it down hoping to find a publisher that would be willing to work with me (of course no progress has been made) ALL poems in this book have a trigger warning but if there is *** in the title than its a suggestion and an extra precaution to not read it if you are at risk of becoming triggered. TRIGGER WARNING!!!! FOR ANYONE WHO DEALS WITH DEPRESION OR HAS DEALT WITH IT!!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! There is cursing in some parts of this!!!! COMPLETED, next poetry collection coming soon This is a poetry collection that is both ever updating and ever changing. This collection of poetry isn't exactly traditional or ever a solid complete piece of prose, I am ever adding and changing and morphing them into something I feel is better or is more to what I feel suits the character or the emotion I wrote the poem to embody. That being said, this collection has some works alike the past one that I made a few years back that doesn't quite hold up to standard today. I have poems that I have remade and moved into this collection, so If you have come from the previous collection know that if you recognise the theme it's because of that. I created this intended as both a challenge to write some feelings into something productive as-well as to write some inspired works made for a character I made as I wrote the poem or for a event or piece of media I enjoyed. Nothing is ever solid or at least their perspective will change as I write the poem or rewrite it. Anyways enjoy, I try not to be too pretentious but I don't really care because again this is a vent piece of work.
