On his High Lord and High Lady's orders, Cassian takes Nesta to the Illyrian war camp so she stops causing trouble in Velaris and learns to face her scars and demons. They deal with rebellions in the Illyrian camps, enemies from outside the Night Court and tensions in the Inner Circle. Old wounds will be ripped open, hearts will be broken, souls will be mended and lives will be taken. This was supposed to be a time of peace but Cassian and Nesta's lives have never felt more chaotic.
