Number Eight - Entry Number 1,460

Number Eight, while being a part of the Umbrella Academy, was not officially adopted by me. It was pure luck to place her into the hands of close friends of mine which allowed for her participation in my research and the Umbrella Academy. I struck a deal with her parents which allotted her the opportunity to spend most of her days in the Academy and the few days she was not gone for missions to return to her home.

Number eight has demonstrated both an ability in telekinesis and telepathy. She shows promise for further development of her ability, but our focus currently is to stabilize her known abilities. She is also extremely capable when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, along with an assortment of weapons. She has proved to be one of the more capable if their powers were to be taken out of the equation.

On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, forty-three women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women were pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, the eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible.

He got eight of them.
