Natalia Alianovna Romanova was a recruit at the Red Room training facility. They trained her along with 27 other girls against their will. But Natalia was different, she complied and trained harder and better than any of the other girls there. As she did not know or care about anything else in the world other than her training to become the Black Widow, it was how she was raised.

But after something happened to their old trainer, a new one who was borrowed from a organisation called HYDRA comes to take his place and as Natalia begins to get close to him she gets worried and realises shes been compromised.

Zola Barnes, daughter of Natasha Romanoff, and the adoptive daughter of Clint Barton is raised in the red room for the first few years of her life. She grew up to the feeling of the Winter Soldier's metal fist punishing her for every mistake she made. She was thirteen-year-old Natalia's liability in the red room, but she was Clint Barton's world once he took the two of them in instead of pursuing his mission to kill them. Their lives change as they work for SHIELD alongside Clint, run from their old captors with his help, and hide in hotels and safe houses. Though Zola can hardly speak English or understand what is happening to her, she builds relationships with her mother, whom she used to be denied of seeing. She gets closer to Clint, who she genuinely believed was her father. She didn't know any better. Thankfully, she was happy to lose the one relationship she never asked for. She'd longed for a father figure, but the relationships she had with everyone in the Red Room, especially the Winter soldier, were not that. As unfortunate as it was for Bucky, who wanted nothing more than to be a part of his daughter's life, he was forced to watch her grow up in someone else's care from a distance. They wiped him so often, he would hardly remember her, anyway. Still, in the small moments where he could remember, he hoped that one day he would win her trust back as Bucky, not the Winter Soldier that she knew. BOOK ONE IN ZOLA BARNES SERIES.

Annika grew up in the mysterious Red Room, the place where the all so famous Natasha Romanoff got trained. Except, back in Russia, she is known by a different name. Natalia Alianovna, one of the most successful assassins the Red Room ever had. One of the few to gain the title, Black Widow, from graduating from the Red Room. But she left that life behind, going to America, and becoming a 'Avenger'. Only problem is, the people who trained her want her back. And they will take whatever they have to. Here is where Annika comes in. She is the youngest girl ever to graduate from the Red room at the young age of thirteen. As a baby, she was found left by the gates of the building, abandoned. Left with only a first name, they decided to take her in. She grew up there, starting her training much younger than the six year olds that are dropped off. With that start, and simply never knowing anything else, made her much more dangerous than any other girl there. She started missions at six, being able to do more damage because of her younger age. They found another mission for her, one that was unique from all of her others. She had to befriend the young Spider-Man, and get him to show her the other Avengers. So she could bring the older Black Widow home. Part 2: Annika and Peter are headed off for an eventful year at MIT college, trying to live life to the absolute fullest when strange things start happening around the school. How will the two young Superhero's deal with this problem as well as pass their finals? AN: Okay, so I'm gonna say it now, before the story even starts. I am making a separate universe. I won't lie to you, I hated how Infinity War and Endgame went. So, something happened to Thanos after Age of Ultron, like he got murdered by somebody. So that threat just won't come anymore. Years later, Natasha helps Steve Rogers rehabilitate his best friend and must discover what he remembers.

When one of their first missions fails, the asset known as the Winter Soldier is brought in to train them. The girls all benefit from his influence, but none more than Natalia Romanova.
