SEQUEL TO "THE STOLEN"

----------------------------------

Safe. Alive. Home at last.
But nothing is the same.

The world these young cats once knew is now plagued with betrayal, heartbreak, loss, vengeance, war and bloodshed.

Darkpaw, Maplepaw and the others successfully escaped with all the stolen kits and more, accomplishing the impossible and surviving in the process. But their home is empty and cold, in spite of the resurgence of hope the young apprentice's brave act has given them.

Division quickly arises among the rebel force as they don't know who to trust and prejudice is placed against the former BreezeClan and NightClan cats. Darkpaw has all eyes on her as questions about her miraculous return from the dead fly about and cats look to the still recovering and traumatized young she-cat to lead them into war against the ever strengthening Legion.

But that's not all that weighs heavy.

There's a spy hidden in the heart of The Rebellion and soon, every cat who Darkpaw places her faith in may just become another stranger that she can not trust.

Darkpaw remembers everything and forgives nothing.
How long will it be until the young she-cat snaps?

Every disaster that threatens a Clan means StarClan will come and save you. You'll receive a prophecy that will save everything you love. The peril is vanquished in a battle, and there is no need for sleeping with one eye open anymore. StarClan will forever watch over you from your nest and keep you safe. That is what has been passed down from generations. Not every tale has to end like that: StarClan saving everyone with the chosen cat, everyone loving the hero or heroine - but it always does. So facing a challenge such as missing cats shouldn't be a challenging task. Moons pass on, cats keep disappearing faster and faster; nobody is doing anything to prevent the case. Everyone is relying on StarClan to send the prophecy to their medicine cat, just hoping that one day, the fiasco will end. Yet that's not the way fear works its way into hearts. Warriors, once brave and strong, now cowering behind one another. Apprentices with their eagerness to learn, now afraid of the outside world and going missing. Queens, always caring for their kits, now fearful of losing them to the mystery. Elders, who are as wise as the deepest river, now unable to provide an answers. With leaf-bare creeping up, the Clans are preparing for the harsh weather. Preparing for another season should be like gathering moss for the elders, but not this time. This time, the Clans are struggling just to assemble a hunting patrol and maintain borders. Forcing time out of daily tasks is asking the impossible. Leaf-bare is going to take the remaining lives of the cats that are lucky enough to even make it through leaf-fall. A silent storm will sweep across them and leave no traces; they might as well prepare to die in the white flakes of leaf-bare, covered up by mounds of snow, lost and forgotten. {This is a rewrite of my story and just like before, copying isn't allowed} {This is also a work of fanfiction! I do not own Warrior Cats!}

But this group is hiding something, and it is only a matter of time before it is revealed to the chosen successors. Petalwish is unsure if she really should be loyal to CliffClan. She loves her clanmates dearly, but the clan deputy seems to watch their every move, just waiting for any cat to slip up. But it's the clan she was raised in. So, she should be loyal to them, right? But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. // Sequel to Unmasked "Are you not listening? We don't have time. The longer we wait the more of our own die. They grow stronger every day - the newest batch of apprentices will be trained in assassination, for StarClan's sake! And if they have the ability to pick us off, one by one, then who will remain to put an end to Dawnstar's reign?" Dewkit knows very little of the rebellion his mother took part in. For him, home is the brick walls and cardboard dens of the alley cat camp; a loving mother, a host of friends, and a just leader. Here, his twisted back leg and crumpled ears are of no significance - until the poison of DarkClan begins to spread closer and closer, endangering this peaceful life and bringing with it the threat of war. Lightpaw trains hard, day and night, to live up to DarkClan's standards - and her mother's and father's. Yet, as Dawnstar's cruelty grows and darkness looms over the Clan, Lightpaw finds herself wondering if the stories she heard from Nightchaser as a kit could have any truth to them. Her thoughts put her at risk, but can she truly live out her days as nothing more than a pawn in Dawnstar's game?
