What really is a dream, and how and where does it happen?

This narrative's purpose is to reintroduce to the readers a universe that they are too familiar with, but are equally ignorant of. This is Omnesomnia, and we shall build a new world within an old universe.

Just before Dream and George were about to get married, something unexpected happened: George died and is now a ghost, unable to be seen by a single soul. This is horrible. Clay struggles with home life, and his social life isn't the greatest either. George on the other hand is the popular kid in school, having no issues at home and no issues with his social life. The two used to know eachother, but something happened after Clay turned four and George never saw him again. What happens when the two cross paths for the first time in thirteen years?
