And Then She Left is a story written about the dark side of adoption in the united states. The main characters, Vanessa and David, are a couple that have fertility issues and seek the route of adoption. Though their fictional story is dramatized for entertainment purposes, most of the struggles face are very real. Things like the mental state of birthmothers, false claims made during the adoption process, and so much more terrorize the amazing men and women who seek out adoption as the way of creating their family.
