When I was little, my mother would tell me the stories of mates. Of the overwhelming love that they would immediately feel for each other, and how they would become of one mind and heart, and never be parted from each other. From those stories, I'd made up, what I imagined would be my own happy ending, with my own mate. But, the thing is, fate never happens the way you want it to.
