A newborn baby abandoned at the edge of the wild forest. Surely going to be devoured by wild animals or beasts, but instead adopted by those very beasts.

The wolf stalked towards the baby, growling. The rest of the pack on standby. Watching pensively as their leader probed at the calm abandoned newborn.
At the sound of the wolf leader's paws and continuous growling, the newborn opened it's eyes. Gold irises stared straight into wolf leader's. Startled- the wolf leader stumbled back from the intensity of the newborn's eyes and the power behind those irises.
The rest of the pack also curious of what made their leader back away- started to close in on the baby. All of a sudden the wolf leader growled in a warning towards the proceeding wolves.
"We have been blessed by the moon goddess. This child is special. And we have been tasked to protect her. She is far too precious for this world. No harm should come to this child."
No questions raised. The decision was already made. This child was one of them now.
