In the summer before freshman year, and everything is changing for Monse Finnie. Her best friends are still her family, but suddenly it feels like their world is closing in on them. Now she's left to navigate life without a mother, in a violent neighborhood, where the bad guys are related to the love of your life.

Caesar Diaz never wanted to be a gang banger. He'd never told anyone other than his best friend, but when his brother went away, he was kind of glad. Things were easier without Oscar around. Caesar found purpose in his heart, a family with his friends, and love.... not that he was ready to talk about that.

My take on On My Block! Some things will remain cannon, others I will take liberties with. I don't own the characters, but I'm in love with their potential!

After a year away at Kitty Hawk, Cassie Maybank returns to the Outerbanks with a determination to get her life back on track. To stay healthy, to make her own friends, to live a normal, steady life like every teenage girl should. But after hearing the news of the passing of one of her closest friends, and coming back to the island, she realizes her brother's letters severely underestimated how much had truly changed. A lot can happen in a year. Friends become strangers, brothers become liars. Some enemies become allies, some enemies become lovers. © Inslaytiable | June 22nd, 2023
